Description

the winds was at 77 mph all the time and gusts at 90 to 100 mph . here is a gust. i was out side on the back paito which was covered. so I was ok. and the camera too. just a little mist got on me then i ran inside the house. not the cane over the fence. I show the cane after the stom later on. here I guess the winds is at 90 mph with the rain hits you it hurts. You can see the rain it was very heavy. Trees in the distains you could bearly see them. so for people who make rain for poser and other 3d programs look at the rain in a storm thanks for looking and comments

Is the flattened cane salvageable? or is it immature? Glad you survived, Jock.

Riding one's motorcycle with no helmet at 90 mph gives a taste. It's the cross wind gust at 40 mph that takes you on a unpleasant turn.

Hope you all were ok, You were lucky you did not loose the fence in that wind. The people that evacuated on busses from New Orleans up my way did not like our FREE hospitality. They thought us red necks were going to cater to them. haha. They did not want to work the FREE food lines. They trashed areas and started a riot. Next time, if they do not own a car, stay in new orleans. Thats all I got to say about it! You know.

Here where I live we will get at least 3 wind storms that hold from 45-60 mph winds and gusts up to 70. I lose my fence every year and large branches fall from the trees and land wherever they please. The saving grace is we don't get the rain like you do with our storms. Only a 10 minute dense shower is about all and then drizzle for the rest of the storm. 90mph is really a strong blow! The sugarcane is really outstanding!

Wow!!!!!!!! What a shot you captured, Jock. That sugar cane is really bending and the rain looks almost horizontal. P.S.... It's my turn, now. Tropical storm Hanna is coming up along the East Coast this evening and I will be getting hammered with wind and rain.
