Description

...no conforming hair...no morphs...no expression...no lights...no background...just V4, added a texture (Bianca by Liquid Rust, available from Daz), played with dynamic hair for the first time, then rendered with HDRI. OK it's not the most dynamic of images, but I am stunned by the realism that I am getting, considering I'm a newbie at Carrara. And I'm well aware there is plenty more to discover! There was a little postwork, mainly to tidy up the edge of the hair and for levels, but this is pretty much as rendered - I'm impressed! Many thanks for looking and putting up with me on my Carrara quest. I also hugely appreciate all the feedback that I have had on this - cheers! Phil P.S. Full View recommended!

Awesome work! I hope you end up enjoying working with Carrara as much as I do, Phil. I'm still very, VERY much a newbie when it comes to Carrara (or working in 3D for that matter) but I've been consistently surprised at the stuff I've been able to do and create in Carrara. Here's to hoping it suits you too.

Each one of these is getting better and better - is there ANYTHING you can't master Phil??? LOL! Great job. I am still concerned about the skin tones - it looks like Carrera is tending towards the yellow on lighting. You may have to compensate by adjusting the lighting colors or playing with skin ambients. Keep it up, very good work and very interesting experiment!
