Description

Summer’s End It’s almost over Summer And it leaves me Sad and feeling blue It’s the end of Those warm sunny days Free time outdoors Flowers in the garden Vacations barbecues Friends over Swimming walking Shorts tank tops Flip flops sandals The weather changes The days get shorter I feel it in the air There’s a smell A certain sense Of the new season And I don’t like it at all Perhaps it’s simply A reflection of my mind This mood This feeling of things About to change It catches me unaware It’s hard to let go Of those sweet Sunny warm days So I get cold In both My body and my soul The end of summer But maybe The beginning Of something Better 9/5/08

Cabo San Lucas perhaps? Matzatlan? All right, Rio! I once tried to figure out the place with the best climate in the world and came up from a climate map with the South end of the North island of New Zealand. Never too hot and never too cold or at least on a map without extremes.

I know how much you dislike this time of year, and your writing has captured that feeling so well! I have faith that there are better days ahead . . .

My sentiments, exactly, Marilyn. For some reason, Autumn gets me down because I see the impending cold, ice and snow on the horizon. Brrrrrrrr.

That's really nice, Marilyn, but...... Summer may be ending for you, but down here in Southern Calif it's just now getting into gear, with plenty of sun and daily temperatures in the low 90s fahrenheit!

Aww, I hope Summer is not the name of the birdie :( Tehehe, Yeah Summer time has come and gone for many a rising Moon and will soon give way to Autumn and what we should have here is a Spectacular Fall Foliage!!! It better be cause we are now 21 inches over Ave. on rain But have no fear my dear cause where you live you can always go south and the Sunny Beachzz will rise again!!!!!

That poem is exactly how I feel. I hate it that summer is almost gone. the feeling of being cold and alone is just around the corner and I hate it. Very nice writing my friend :)
