Description

Also snapped at Fisherman's Wharf - and yes, it IS a very crowded and expensive place with plenty to do and see and spend money on.

This is so lovely. There is a certain magic in San Francisco that can't be found anywhere else and you have managed to bring that magic into this photo. I read an article the other day that says for someone to drive from my town, Sacramento, and spend one night in The City - no food and no entertainment, just drive in and stand on the street somewhere for the night - the gas, bridge tolls and parking would cost over $80. We are only 91 miles from San Francisco! About fifteen years ago, I spent the night there and the cheapest hotel I could find was $168 a night. Its a lot more now.

MrsLubner: You're right - it's a very expensive trip. Especially if you're making the journey from Florida as I did - lol. I actually spent the night outside of the San Francisco area and crammed in as much sightseeing as I could in one day, so didn't get to see as much as I'd like. But it was still an awesome trip and a wonderful opportunity to see some of the west coast, which I'd never seen before and will probably never see again. I also crammed in Lake Tahoe, Reno, Pacifica, Mono Lake, Calavaras, and Yosemite National Park on the same trip - talk about a whirlwind!!! I'll be sharing more of those photos as time allows. Besides, the pups are grown now and haven't done anything exciting lately - lol.
