Description

Hello! How is your weather, hope good. Here is heavy rain and strong wind. Every time we hear a wind blow ghastly, we stop for a few seconds and wait for a sound of something fell and make a big bang in a backyard...great fun...aaammmm, no, not so fun...lol. But this is a season before a real spring start here. Ok back to my upload. No Pink Floyd thinking here. I am wondering thou why is a big rivet is in a brick. Seems to me is serve nothing, well at least it does not hold a brick together but provide a good (I recon) shot. Sorry for a bubbling I zipp it now...seeya have a wonderous weekend.

Splendiferous brick textures and angle of photo on display here, Tunde! I have no idea what the purpose of the bolt and washer is. Possibly to help strengthen the structural integrity of the wall. Weather here sunny and hot every single day.

this shot demonstrates to me the effect a strong composition can have on visual appeal - it has lifted a mundane subject to a higher level - nice one!

makes a good design. Guess it was holding something on a brick wall or on the other side of it. wonderful shot

In order to know what the bolt is for, one needs to know what's at the other end, and how far away it is! Sometimes in old buildings they run a long rod through the entire building and bolt it on either end, to keep the building's walls from bowing out. Of course on the other side of this bolt there might just be a picture hanger or something! LOL! Great shot, and quite thought provoking.

You capture things that most people pass by and take for granted. Turn the ordinary into magic...thats what is all about!

I love the composition! The lines of the crack, line of the cement, texture and positioning of the bolt. A wonderful crop, very well seen. Cheers, Clive

Very unique shot and pov... like jocko said, it's probably important to what is on the other side of the wall that you cannot see. Makes for a great abstract, though. :)
