I'm retired, but so busy I haven't posted anything in a while. When do work, I mostly use Carrara 8.5 Pro and Daz Studio for composition and rendering, and Fireworks and Photoshop for postwork and textures. I'm more a storyteller than an artist: I like scenes that tell a story -- or strongly suggest one.
I live in Sacramento, California USA with my wife. Kids are grown and gone, so we volunteer at our church, and travel as much as time and wallet will allow!
I REALLY appreciate the many great artists here who have been SO wonderful with their encouragement and pointers. PLEASE comment or just say "Hi". I appreciate your words good or bad: It energizes me, grows me - and keeps me going.

This is really well done. It's so cute and the details are wonderful. Well worth the effort :) Don

Darn fine job Larry! Love the posing and texture work as always. Shadow work is nice and subdued. Did you do that as a single render or did you do a bunch of figures and paste them in?

The original scene had all the elements you see here, but D/S kept cratering (took down my PC once too) so I split into two scene files: The background and middleground characters and props in one scene, the foreground characters in another. I rendered each scene separately, then merged the results as layers in a single Fireworks picture. Also, I had to lose a few props here and there so the scenes would render, so I handpainted the props back in as add'l FW layers.

I'm glad you posted it Larry as it is a superb scene and you did a great job of having her interact with the people. The innocent look on her face is great.

Ah hey, that is cool! What an excellent portrait! I like the posing you've done with this. It tells such a story... Pity I can only give 5 stars, I'd give more if I could!

Great job Larry. Excellent post work. Sometimes you have to find different ways to do what you want, when you are limited with equipment you have. Trust me I know.
