Description

Opposite Reading Station (the train one) stands Western Tower which originally built by British Rail as accommodation for a variety of their regional offices. At the base, there is a parade of shops - mostly empty these days. The whole complex is looking a little worse-for-wear as little maintenance appears to have been performed on the building since BR moved out many years before sold off. As far as I am aware, the tower has stood empty for many years. ------------------------------- Original Photograph 1-Sep-2008
