To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

a feisty portrait, lots of fun, it's strong, and I love the scale & play of it all. Love the scale of the trees, the planets all over the sky, the birds going in two directions, even the wonderful ornaments traipsing across the lintels. And the tilted hourglass too. A pirate maybe, but she looks like she's caught in the middle of a place she didn't intend to be, but doesn't give a damned: She's not swayed a bit. Your palette of saturated reds & earth tones is rich and velvety, and it saturates everything with an oomph. I can see the title, but really, all your work transcends time, and includes a lot of it too. Your work goes to the heart of time. It's fun and provocative, but also really beautiful.

Interesting design, I think it might have benefited from putting the brushes on a separate layer so that you can erase sections of the trees to weave them in and out of the columns for some added depth.
