Description

Model: Michelle Deighton Fairplay (from America's Next Top Model S4) Held my third photo 'shootout' event last night. We were lucky enough to have Michelle come to shoot (and yeah, Johnny was there hanging too, ha), and this is one of my favorite images that I captured of her...but, being true to Libra form, I can't decide which one I like better...hellllllllp! The image on the left looks better, the cloudy filter or the right just clutters up the scene too much, IMHO.

immediate impression was the one on the right is better - fewer sort of 'blown out' areas, a softer and more sensuous tone which gives better detail of the model and more impact and atmosphere to the scene I reckon.. nice work ;)

the one to the right is better because you can see her clearer but it has a loss of color that is bothersome. The left is somewhat overblow with lost image spots and too much saturation for a fake look. Perhaps clean out the noise on the right and adjust the contrast just a little?

You asked...the left may be "blown out" but offers far less noise and way more mood...something which doesn't necessarily require detail...of course the pose and model help with this composition!
