Description

I am becoming a horizontal photogragher now the fungi are appearing. I was laying on my stomach taking a shot on a country roadside. A passing motorist passed and reversed back thinking I had collapsed and in need of medical attention. She gave a strange smile and shake of the head when I revealed my camera and pointed at the clump of toadstools. This is when my pocket reflector is my most treasured item, putting a little light to the shadows of all fungus shots.

Very nice. The texture on the caps resembles alligator hide. :-) The pocket reflector is a super idea!

Beautiful shot! I'm a bit surprised by your identification of this mushroom, because Chrysenteron doesn't have a massive foot . More, it seems there's a ring around the foot. I think it's an Amanita rubescens IMHO.
