Description
This sucker was huge! For our area at least.
It was dripping black and smelled terrible.
Cool looking though.

I love the black as it collects on the lip of the cap and it certainly stands tall! I have learned not to judge by smell though. There is an ugly, weeping, stinking shroom I came across and thought for sure it was not to be eaten but when I posted it on a fungus site for ID I found out it was highly desireable and when picked, washed and cooked it had no smell and great flavor.

This looks similar to our Lawyers wig ones that are great in a stew, but contain the substance used in the anti alcohol drug, Antabuse. So if you have a little glass of wine with your meal it will all come back, pronto!
