Please forgive my absence! It's been a long time since I posted. I've felt almost crippled in my attempts at making art. I had lost interest totally. I don't know if it's the trying to stop smoking and having to relearn to do just about everything, especially sitting on the PC making art (for me anyhow) or what, but I just lost the muse. Perhaps she's in Vegas. LOL. BUT, I feel the juices going again. Perhaps my spell is done and my muse has returned. I sure hope so!
I'm also sorry that I haven't been commenting on your art. I have viewed much and ya'll are rockin the world with your artworks! I feel bad about not commenting and I hope ya'll will understand and forgive. I'll get back to commenting very soon.
I'm still working on the nonsmoking deal. Sheeesh. Not so much fun as some of you know. BUT I'll keep at it. I can now drive my car and talk on the phone and cook without smokin. LOL. And, I made this pic smoke free. Woo hoo! I'm determined to quit!
Also, I went to work for some company that kept sending me bad equipment. When you get paid by the report (I do medical transcription) and not much at that, well...let's just say, the frustration level went through the roof and I finally told them I'm not getting paid for my time to try to work on their equipment. I sent it all back, so I'm back to being unemployed and looking.
Oh yes, the image....well, one morning while walking around the base of the giant redwood in the backyard, I came upon a commotion and snapped this shot.
LOL...the background is a photo of the breathtaking giant tree. The girl, rocks, water, and creatures were done in poser and added. Didn't want ya'll thinkin I'd lost my marbles. LOL
I still have my sense of humor.

i am out too, life is changed for me and i cannot even think about being here even if i miss you all , i am proud of you that you keep fighting ! you are wonderful artist and hope you will find your time and be here even if i see your muse is with you ! this is great done ! i wish i could know what gives you the power to stop smoking :)

I just finished my art mural that I've been working on... so I too am unemployed... doesn't it suck? lol... I too am trying to quit smoking, but plan on getting a pack tonight, I'm out - lol... My muse has been painting in the real world and wants to get back into the computer... I'm not sure, but I think there is less stress... The government must be messing with the paint companies... man, the paint I used all seemed alien... whites, babyblues, greens they were all inconsistant... the red and blue worked the way I'm use too. I'll post my mural within the next day or two. glad your muse is working with you again - lol

You have been missed Ruby, but I can only congratulate you on your formidable achievement of stopping smoking. I know just how difficult it is and have also put on a few pounds (and now taken them off again) lol. Such lovely coloring and the tree fits beautifully. Stay strong with the smoking. Just remember how good your food tastes now! lol Two years for me now and LOVING the taste of food again! Steve :o)
