Well they could do worst than this. The plate on the right side of the arch says "Património do Estado" or in english "Belongs to the country". Like I said, it could be worst and probably will...
I need to photograph my country before everything goes like this.

Oh dear, it does look like it needs a bit of rehab....but it has lovely lines, and could look good again if someone had the time and money to put into it. Great capture!
