Description
A while ago we went to a party at Scaliscro Lodge one of the big estates (about 10 000 acres) on the island.
Afterwards I wrote to the owner and asked if it was ok to go for walks on his land. (There is a "right to roam" policy in Scotland but it is always polite to ask first) I was delighted when he said anytime ;-)
So this is part of Scaliscro estate...It is about a 2 hr walk to here across pretty boggy land to get here from the road where I park my car.
I am used to wild,empty,vast estate land..I grew up with it so a walk like this for me is magic!.
