Description

zoom in for best view The bots are getting right to work as planned and they are discussing things... HebotMIB: My Dear ShebotBL you look beat and tired. ShebotBL:, Yes my companion, carying this ice has depleted most of the juice from my batteries and i'm not sure that I can get back to base. HebotMIB: throw that last piece of ice into the H2/O2 separator and we will go back to base, If you cant make it then I will disconnect the separator and jump you and zap you with enough juice to get you to base, I still have 75% since I have been resting. ShebotBL: That is sweet of you HebotMIB.....Ok,,Can I just call you MIB ? HebotMIB: yes, and I will just call you BL. Let's get back to base now. WILL BL MAKE IT BACK TO BASE? OR WILL SHE HAVE TO BE ZAPPED BY MIB? STAY TUNED FOR MORE ADVENTURES!!! ( the adventures of MIB and BL to be continued} Check and read the previous posts} [^___^] Cheers, Roger

I assume these robots are thermionic RTG since they have no solar panels to recharge them and the water components are not yet ready for a simple steam engine and boiler. Let me provide a motivating quote. "Batteries are passive."

Howdy tallpindo, As you may read in the text in the first posted image their entire skin is a solar cel and yes they are battery operated. [^^]. And speaking of motivation, I can't imagine Nasa not building a rotating heat exchanger engine to generate electricity on the moon, The heat/cold differential between the sunnyside and the shadyside of a machine like that is something like 600 degrees on the moon ! that should be enough to rotate a electromechanical generator at a tremendous power. I drew up a basic design about 20 years ago for moon operation... Waiting to see if someone will invent and apply it like many other ideas that I have had. [^_^] Cheers, Roger
