Description

This is the beach where I go to all the time when I am down in Umatilla and a couple of times I had this idea where I went to the dollar store and bought a bag of these colored stone like you get for the bottom of a fish tank. When I got to the beach I just walked down the beach by the waters edge sprinkling the stones. It was my hope that kids would find them and think they were like diamonds or something. That is the kind of thing I would do when I was a kid if I found something like that hahaha. And both times I did this I went back the very next day and every single one of them was gone. Well yesterday I went and got another bag of stones and was just about to spread them out when I noticed all of little clam shells. Now the shells are always there but I never really thought about them that much but yesterday I had a brain storm and I walked down the beach and put a blue stone inside every shell I found. I was real careful not to move the shells so they would look just like they were washed up and there were precious stones inside them. I hope it is a kid that finds them.

It's nice to hear your story... I was walking down the beach one day and I found a polished stone??? I thought hmmm? this looks different than the other stones, so I picked it up, and sure enough it was highly polished, so I kept walking and I found another one and another... & I realized that some one had done just what you did and so I put them back in hopes of someone else finding them. So you see I am happy to read your story & your thoughts behind it!!!!! excellent shot & a great idea!!!!! three cheers to finding treasures!!!!!
