Description

Life is as a playground they say... Where as children we frolic and play... our biggest world can be our very own back yard... But then... we grow up... become adults and we learn there is more to this world then just outside our door. We move on in to a new dimension if you will... There's so much more to see, to explore, to feel.... It's a fast paced world, much faster then what our chuildhood was We wonder if we can make it out there all alone... We wonder what difference we can possibly make. But somehow we see it through the ups and the downs... The lost friends and the new..... The happiness and the heartache.... And if we're lucky, we learn from past mistakes... Pick ourselves up and move on through this journey we call... LIFE! Then one day we get married and nothing could be finer... Until the day we become parents and in spite of ourselves We laugh when we hear ourselves repeating the same words our parents used to say to us... I guess history really does repeat itself. Before we know it, our children are grown and venture one by one out on their own... Our hair's a tad bit grayer, our bodies a little more bent... Baseball games, boy scounts, girl scouts and P.T.A. meetings all behind us now.......Finally PEACE! Or so we thought.... Till' the grandchildren came.... Now it's babysitting, stumbling to the kitchen to warm a bottle for a 3am feeding... Little League, band practice, cheerleading and more P.T.A. But this time around we have luck on our side.... We can send them home... the joys of being a grandparent.

Yep.. being a grandparent is the best of parental worlds. You can spoil the grandkids.. pump them full of sugar.. then send them home (to their parents) to bounce off the walls and party all night..lol. It's that time of life that allows you to get even with your grown kids now for being such little monsters back then..lol. I'm glad to see you're not calling it quits.. May I suggest you adopt a single simple thumbnail to flag yourself and use it on all Gypsyflame (the writer) posts? Even your avatar would make a geat thumb for posts. Anyway, wonderful subject and well written posting Marcy. Bravo and hugs from Dave :^)
