Longgggg-standing interest in photography, first class in high school in the 60's, but was too expensive a hobby until my first digital camera about two years ago. Now I'm more prolific. :-D I am BRAND NEW to computers, so any advice on image enhancements probably should wait until I learn how to click, double-click, and drag...
I enjoy taking landscape shots and shots with a historical context, especially around Kittitas County, Washington.
The portraits in my icon and homepage image were taken last winter by the woman who is known here at Renderosity as PumaWalkingSoftly (aka Windchime Photography), thanks Laura!

Isn't nostalgia great, I love seeing parades with vintage cars and trucks of all sorts, I am pretty lucky that I have a fire department museum quite close to where I live. I have another transport museum(yet to visit) about ten miles away, a railway museum again about ten miles away, a tramway museum an hour and a half away. How lucky I am. Always nice to view other vintage vehicles on here though, most of mine are English but its nice to see how similar all the other vehicles are. This image is great in that it has both new and old together, even years apart, the basics are the same, its the speed and volume that have increased with the years. Geting to the fire faster and delivering more water per second onto the blaze. I like your miners festival. Thanks for sharing. Bravo!!!!!

Fun shot and nice comparison, can almost hear the glee of the children watching. :)

I remember riding in the back of a fire truck when I was a kid. It was so much fun. Especially, ringing the bell. Nice shot. Aloha
