The colours are a bit to strong. The terrain is great indeed :)

Try to use corresponding colours for the surface and try to make more surface layers in different heights and slopes, to eliminate this surface lines... viewpoint and mist are okay!

Everybody sees things through different eyes. I hope you continue to use color the way you have...I think it adds to much!
