Description

No, I realize this isn't exactly the most stunning piece of work, but it is my first Poser image, so I thought I'd go ahead and post it for giggles. Have I broken away from DAZ Studio? Not at all. However, I recently built a new 64 bit machine and I wanted to be able to do some complex images that would utilize the 8 gigs of memory I put in the thing, and PoserPro will do that. Obviously, this first image is not remotely complex, but I'm not used to Poser's lights or nodes, so I thought starting simple would be a less frustrating path. As it was it took me forever to figure out why my lights looked like crap. Finally I found some info on adjusting the render settings and getting rid of "gamma correction" and things went better after that. By then I'd applied SSS to the skin, so it came out a bit on the red side, but I shall have a better grasp of things the next time around. The character and outfit are from the Elfin Princess Bundle available at DAZ. The background is from "Among the Trees" by didi_mc, from Rendo. The hair is Christine Hair available at RDNA.

omg no!! You've gone to the Dark Side!! grin kidding, m'dear. It's a lovely portrait, and I think you did pretty dang well for your first go in Poser. I'm still too scared to go for it after seeing the interface. laughs
