Very nice image and render. I'm impressed with the luminosity at the edge of the "earth". What's Gimp.

Perfect! except the spherical UVW mapping of the clouds on the top of the earth.. I like it!! Whats Gimp?

Yes, the North Pole needs further work. GNU Image Manipulation Program.Something like Adobe Photoshop. I've used it for postwork.

Hey, GIMP is for lunix isn't it? Does C4D also work in linux?

GIMP is also available for win (but i use it under linux). Hmm, c4d works under linux if you have win running in a vmware suite :)
