Description
This is clear case of not letting something go when I should have. I kept trying to force "something" to work. So now, Im not sure whether it did or not, I literally put days into this.
13 or 14 renders, Ive lost count, lots of photoshop. To many hours to count. Poser, Vue, CS.

Lovely character! I have add a note here in that I started out on Renderosity years ago as a Poser/Bryce fan. None of that gallery is on here now! But this caught my eye right away...

some pieces are like that. i think the blur works well, and i like that the sculpture looks like it could be antlers or a bare tree, both of which have winter connotations. to me, she looks a little sallow, and the shadows of her skin more green than i'd expect under such a bright blue sky. i think it's a great piece, but it is somehow less striking than some of your other images. i think it's the fact that the eye is drawn to the items with the highest contrast, and that's her hair and the drape behind her. the hair especially draws the eye away from her face. both are fairly inert, while the expressive portions of the picture - her face and her hand - have much less contrast. the dark makeup helps some, but only so much. if you were actually going to touch this ever again (which i'm not advising because it sounds like it's already frustrated you and it's very, very good), i'd suggest that the drape be whites and greys, the hair be whites and blues, her irises be saturated, her lips be saturated and brighter, and her makeup be all dark instead of the dimmest and least noticeable of several white and light blue elements. or go the other way, make it a night scene, and work with all darks and her being the lightest element.
