Description

This is a rose from my garden--the darker edges are just shadows, but it kinda looks like it got a bit toasted somehow!!

Beautiful color....it does appear to have burnt edges.....I think that's what makes it stand out so, a very pretty flower.

A surfeit of sharp light and shadow effects dominate this lovely macro of the multipetaled bloom, Marilyn! I like the blending and confluence of various shades of orange in this one.

flowers are amazing, aren't they, how the slightest change in light can bring out whole different personalities, kind of like the flower-kingdom's version of 'accessorizing'. This looks like it's burnt around the edges, but also like the deep reds are almost lit from some hidden source inside the flower. Flowers never lose their variety, and a good photographer will always be able to capture them 'anew', even if they've been shot a million times. A beautiful vivid shot. Almost an abstract!
