Though I may walk in the light
my home is the forever darkness,
cold as death to others,
but always warm,
always comfortable to me.
there I maybe my true self,
and open my heart,
to embrace it, to feel it,
allowing the darkness
to consume and invigorate,
to draw new life.
time to time the light,
beckons for me,
with a glimmering shimmer,
but I know my home,
it is the darkness,
it is my soul.
