Description
Castle Leod is pre - 15th century and made of pink sandstone. It is set amidst beautiful parkland with a backdrop of mountains. It remains one of the few unaltered castles in Scotland since 1600 and has been a family home for 500 years. owned by the Earl of Cromartie and base of the Mackenzie clan.Open on selected days only.
Near Strathpeffer North West of Inverness.

Another spectacular shot. Stunning. One of the things that draws me in with highland pictures is that one can see the lush green of the grasses. It's superb.
