Description

Last May I saw Yosemite for the first time and it was every bit as amazing, stunning and breathtaking as I've thought it would be. I was lucky enough to be there when all the falls were in their glory. This is lower Yosemite Falls**, and I was only about 50 feet away and got a little wet taking this shot. You can't see it, but my avatar has this as background as well. My son hiked up to the very top of these falls, went PAST the sign that said not to go past, sat down on a ledge and took a foto of his feet hanging over the edge!! Not for the faint of heart!! zoom for sure!! **click here

Wow! Amazing place. Great shot. I like the rainbow flare and the burn-out - it adds to the power and beauty.

Adventures son. He'd be good hiking with us as any signs that says "Keep Out" doesn't pertain to us, lol.

Is it my imagination or is there someone standing there to the right? This sure has a dream like quality to it, nice capture.

It looks like an old time gold prospector is stood looking down into the falls, to the right and just on the edge of the shrubs. I can see it Lynell, you aint on your own. Ghostly images from the past. Excellent capture Marilyn. Bravo!!!!!

very impressive shot, Marilyn, and hmm, I always wonder what it is about those signs saying keep out what inspires just to do the opposite..lol

Excellent capture of the thundering falls below, making us humans seem just that much more insignificant in size and power. Your son, yet again, tempts fate in his casual capriciousness.

I bet this is like a death trap once inside. Great pov and a lot of energy. Is the blue hue/color for real?

We all have a point where we become reckless. Until then we are just in the roar and the spray. For society to survive we try to confine our recklessness to times of hope and rescue or times of war. I make jokes about those times in my life such as "It's all just green water over the bow."
