Description

It was pre-dawn on the world of Renuit. Lord Death watched the play of water and the plum-colored mist over the millions of years that he had life. He had destroyed all life in Triangulum Galactic humanoids and had hunted them to extinction. He was glad that the ice age had ended. He hated and loved ice, and was glad to see it go. He was sure it left yesterday, or last eon. He was trying to narrow it down, when the lord of the dust,Lord Famine made his presence known. "Lord Death? Are you there, and may I have a moment?" Famine knew he was there, but played the game of immortals well. His blindness seemed liked more an affectation than a hindrance. "Yes and yes. Is it about the divergence of probability that Lord War took credit for?" Death looked irritated, and let his brother take his arm to guide Famine to the couch he presently favored. Famine said excitedly, "It comes from an agent that War had created with the Scourge! Who knew that the agents that War had created would WORK!? That one would have a child? That one would find more humans?" Death looked more interested at his brother. "So much information? Not rumor?" Famine laughed. "Rumor only. War is chatty. You know that. Plague is upset. He says that War's is unraveling his Blight! Both read what they want what they want from the probability well. I need your eyes to see the truth of the well." "More humans to exterminate? I'm tired of all the killing. If that will end the mission...fine, I'll read the Well. Pale Horse? Set course for the Well of Probability located in Andromeda. Watch for the Naga-Hulutu ships." "Yes, Master. Should I tow Master Famine's ship with a tractor beam?" The ship's voice sounded female and was inquisitive. "Yes." Famine waved expansively. He was the laziest and most restive of the Four Brothers. Even he twitched with the excitement of the hunt. "Alright. We'll get to the truth between Plague and War's saying. Anything to solve the boredom of existence." Death smiled his pale smile and waved a hand to his ship. It folded close and slipped into hyperspace with a shudder. Famine laughed with excitement. --TO BE CONTINUED!!--
