Description

A little over 2 years ago, I had posted another skylight with my grandson Kailen. Click "here" . Here he is dressed in white and easy to find at nights. He uses my old camera and goes back with a lot of stories to share with his friends on myspace. His younger brother (8 yrs old) had hiked with us once and wants more of it. My daughter is getting somewhat worried. Her son's want to hang with me, lol. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Ahhhh, Maika'i!! Your grandsons will remember these moments for the rest of their lives. Sure is nice to have a grandpa that will spend quality time teaching the young ones the ways of hiking the lava. Kailen will remember this photo and time with you when he explains this one day to his sons. Nice shot with the skylight and plume in the back ground~ Aloha~

All the right elements for a compelling picture are present here. The family story makes this a thought provoking image. Very, very nice. Bill

The white is a good idea in such dark surroundings~ Really great framing the shot, it is a keeper! An awesome gift to have the generational gap dissolved and replaced by harmony and respect. =)

The action all around is tense! He looks so well prepared and stoic here. I think he has a good head on his shoulders and follows in your footsteps very well.

Kailen is growing into a fine young man. It was fun to compare the two pictures. Life doesn't get much better than hiking with Grandpa and learning about photography and volcanoes. How wonderful for them to have you involved in their life.

Great that you don't mollycoddle them, if you know that word. Some mums here never allow their kids even to run in case they trip!

Splendid capture of your grandson in a black belt karate outfit, Shark! Is that a volcano opening, or a rip in the space/time continuum to his left?

Wonderful image... the lava, of course is fantastic, but so is that plume of smoke. Your grandson will grow up to be an expert in hiking the lava fields, and with you for a teacher, I don't think your daughter has a thing to worry about!

a good idea to get him to wear white...smile..so he will stand out against the rough nature and this should be something your daughter will like, cause she certainly knows you will have an eye on your grandson while hiking with him... and he will remember this interesting hikes with his grandfather for his entire life... I am sure

Wow! Fantastic capture. I'm glad the kids have a sense of the greatness of these places. We used to have amazing events here but never the film to document them and thought they would return. I miss the daily double rainbows, and actually, three feet of snow, even.
