Description

A real shame... that make almost 1 year I don't post anything here ! In fact, november 2007, when I start the second part of my project of 3d reconstruction of the 1900 Exposition of Paris. Well... I'm always in this project, with always the same strong motivation, and of course, always less freetime ! Maybe now it's time to post a little, some pictures about this second part. A bit different than the previous series, now is a Medieval Reconstruction of Paris, made in the 1900 Exposition, between the Alma's bridge and the DeBilly footbrifge, along the river Seine. This incredible reconstruction in 1900 was due to Albert Robida, incredible artist, visionay, drawer, medievalist, painter, writer... and more. This part of the fair was built on piloties along 260 meters, around 6000 square meters of wood pilars (around 1000 trunks are necessaries). During this event, people could enter near the Alma's bridge, in the XIVth century, to exit at the other part, in the XVIIIth century... that was of course really incredible to discover it, especially in 1900 ! With this first picture, you could discover the entry, La Porte Saint-Michel, the medieval quater, in the XIVth century. I will try to post regularly the next steps. I wish you all a good travel with me... and some big thanks to all people who follow the first steps of the project, in 2006 and 2007, with the Nation's Street and the first 23 pavilions ! Thanks again. Laurent
