Now that Autumn's here, fallen apples abound. This brings the butterflies. (And me, with camera). Being busy getting drunk on apple cider he never noticed me and the lens. Ergo, a close-up!

We get yellow jackets for the apples. They surprisingly eat a lot. Your picture reminds us to twist tin foil on rabbit ears for greater expansion of the coverage area.

Well, if it is an American butterfly, it can only get Channel Five with them until February, 2009, when the broadcasters all go entirely digital. Fantastic closeup of my favorite kind of insect--along with fireflies, of course.
