this old oak is in Oklahoma at Fort Washita near Durant.no idea on how old it is but looks old

Masterly capture and finding, Richard. Man, that surface looks great. They are much older than one should think.. that's for sure. The Oak is very, very slow in growth. I would not be surprised if they are 50 years old. It seem there were 2 tree's in the beginning... growing very close together.. and then they kinda grew together, in time. I have seen that phenomenon a few times.. and it looks to be the same case here. Fantastic choice of motif.

What a cool tree. Or maybe I should say trees. It's almost more like two trees grew together to become one. Love all those gnarled holes and how the shadows sneak in and out of them. Such an interesting picture. Love it. Hey, thanks for letting us know more about Ludy. This is the first time I know know what's going on with her. All I knew was she was 'sick' so it's good to know more about what's causing her issues.
