The tree leaps! I was at Morton Arboretum a few weeks back, with the thought of "Gotta see this place in Fall." Now when I return this will be in my head - a good frame of artistic reference. You're gestural lines are so dominate here - more freedom I think than you allow in the maps images - but i'm drawn to both.

This is wonderful Mark and as always your style shines through so well. Like the comments above stated now this is the image that will be in my mind when I think of Fall coming on. Beautiful blending and great image.

Quite different from your "map" series. In those it seemed you invited the viewer to explore from a myriad of starting points. "Fall" seems to have a definite flow of energy that compels the eye to follow.I'm reminded of a bird in flight, or an old Japanese painting. Delicate and powerful,Mark.

This one reminds me of a sort of colourful desert island scene with the overhanging palm tree to the right and the sails of a wind surfer towards the middle ... or that's how my mind sees it. The whole scene gives the impression of a moderate wind blowing from right to left which gives movement to to image and brings it to life. I think the way you leave the paper texture in adds tremendously to the image and looks much better than a simple bland background. It gives added depth to the scene and creates wonderful and subtle shadow effects. Fabulous work Mark. Tony.

It is a leap of faith, fall is. We watch everything around us curl up and hide in protection. The wind tries to whisk it all away and yet we bend to resist! Trying to hang on but knowing we must give in soon. You uploaded this on Robert's (my son) bday. No wonder I was too busy to drop in back then. This is marvelous. I love the sweeping lines, almost like colored sands being stretched in a basin.

A delicate and lovely artwork. Fall does seem to sweep in like a colorful wind that is gone all too soon and leaves us with a lasting vision of its momentary beauty. CC

I love the colors and swirls of motion in this picture. It reminds me of a bird and a flower at the same time - a Bird of Paradise, perhaps? Lovely :)
