In the grand scale of the universe, are we merely specks that come and go in an instant? Does anything we do really matter? Do we make any difference in the world? How do we know?

I think we all do. We have self awareness and a conscience. We have guilt and pleasure. We have emotion and passion. I absolutely believe every last one of us, regardless of politics, religion, race or gender, has a bigger place somewhere in the universe. Great topic starter by the way!!!! -chachi

Very good question, I've been pondering this for a long time. But does my pondering matter? Does any of it matter if we're born, we survive, and then die? Human instict tells us to survive and/or procreate, simple as that. Maybe that's all we need to do. But significance, I guess, is gained when you have an effect on lots of people. Clever image. :)
