I'm not sure what these are. Are they gumballs? Are they a special kind of candy? Well, they look yummy and colorful. A really interesting photo. :)

Congratulations. LovelyPoetess called it right. These are the little round sprinkles that go on top of cupcake icing. I wasn't sure what they'd look like in a zoomed macro when I set up the photo, but once I saw it on the screen I was happy with how it turned out. I may have to "play" with these some more. ;)
