Now thats exteremely creative & original. Some heavy displacement work but the artefacts created dont appear to be to drastic. At first gance I thought ...is it wood?! Then I thought...what if this was created as an Isosurface in surfacePOS with a second sandy Iso added :) Very nice work Rob :)5*

Well, I'm sitting here looking at this and thinking about it. Your title reaqlly got me started as at first look I thought of Lava but then your title brought to mind those primitive bacteria that built things similar and left fossils. I still can't decide but it is good
