It reminds me of a European holiday that turns into a murder mystery by Agatha Christie, but uncharacteristically for her, aliens appear in her story and she is accused of plagurising H G Wells.

Like some others, I think of money at first because you captured the intricate tracery & convolutions that ornament so much paper currency on this planet. You captured the greenish hue of American currency too—although you also have what appears to be a spinal column in center, and an array of necklaces, pearls, etc. to each side. Riches, perhaps? Material something-or-others...yet they're all transformed into line & infinite detail, some old bankerly faces, and those monetary etched seals to either side of the piece. It's a document painting, an abstract made of document art; and mysterious, hidden and enticing (e.g., what's that formal looking building in the background, looking like a courthouse or old hotel; and are those fingerprints all over the piece?) It's as if we got inside a dollar bill or set of certificates, became the size of an ameba, and had dreams. Wonderful wander of the mind & leaves one coming back again. Marvelous.

Makes me think of a few years ago a sub sank and another country tried to offer assistance and the country with the sub said no... Everyone in the sub died and they didn't have to... the military and governments helping one another really sucked that day.
