Description

When summer ends It is time to welcome The changing splendor With Autumn Friends. Credits: Another in my 'Beauty In Nature' series, created in Photoshop CS, using photos, painting techniques, a Painted Skies background by pen_is_envy, Painted Leaves by Lucie, Birds and Bees branch and Seasonal Wreaths by jaguarwoman. The aspens up in the mountains are just beginning to turn golden, which put me in an Autumn mood. Hope you enjoy. CC

See if you can make a version with the birds looking towards the viewer rather away like you have now. A winter version of this with a pair of cardinals would an excellent follow up.

An inspiration and joy to see your beautiful work, I am probably repeating myself, but worth repeating.

am just discovering your gallery, though I've seen your caring comments everywhere on the site (and was just deeply graced by them in my own fledgling gallery...) I've always felt that mixed media was easy for those who want a quick way to manipulate an image, and supremely committed & deep for those who want to create deep and heartfelt art. You're in the latter group. This is sumptuous and very delicate at the same time. it is photographic but wholly painterly; the light you've gotten in front of the birds is quite luminous and engaging, the leaves are sumptuous and each small complex worlds; and the birds themselves are amazingly complex and detailed. Even the little berries look like jewels. You're committed at many levels at once, and this is a beautiful portrait of nature, both avian and from your heart.
