Description
The Valkyrias are mythological creatures from scandinavian (and Goth) origins. They flew over the battlefields, looking for heroic slain warriors which they took to Odin, so they could beef up his army for the final battle, the Ragnarok.
Or that is how I understand it...
So anyway, this image is supposed to represent a Valkyria flying over the battlefield, looking for the warriors. Being a mythological creature, she is not too affected by the freezing cold. As you can see, there is an Aurora Borealis in the background, a further allusion to the valkyrias.
Figure is Terai Yuki2, by Ken-Ichi Kutsugi.
I modeled, textured, and rigged all the clothing and props, including the hair. For that, I used a combination of Silo, Shade, unwrap3d, 3d-coat, cr2editor, morphmaster, and of course Poser.
Rendered in PoserPro, tone mapped in Picturenaut, postwork in the Gimp.
I hope you like it!

Great job on this!

The amount of work you put into modeling is worth it, because this makes it a stand-out image. Great work on the boots too. Good choice of colour, and even though you say she's not affected much by the cold, that blue nose is a nice touch.
