Description

Hey Everybody Thanks for you comments on my collage images, I appreciate it. :) Now this one I took just yesterday. I have an irrational fear of spiders. So yesterday my daughter discovered this one on our gates and told me I must photograph it. At first I told her I am too afraid, but she kept nagging until I took the biggest glass flower pot I have and managed to catch it, because a photo on a gate will not look too good. My son being as afraid of spiders as I am was clinging to my legs lol. So I finally got to a plant in the garden where I could photograph it. I let the spider climb onto the leaf but didn't see there is a dead moth on the leaf. When I leaned forward and got it perfectly into focus this guy thought it will be a good idea to jump onto the dead moth. Needless to say, I screamed (hard enough for the neighbour to hear). I got the shakes and when I finally got the nerve together again I started shooting. Here he is climbing from the one leaf to the other leaf. Have a nice day. :) And thanks for looking. Colene

Great capture! And I'm with you on the fear of spiders! But I can see the beauty of this one...even if I would run the other way!

Very well done! You are very lucky to have caught him climbing, as they tend to jump. My children know them as Jumping Spiders, one of my favs as they do not make messy webs yet help handle the mosquitoes! Cheers, Clive

Great shot! I love spiders. I hate bugs and spiders eat bugs, so by way of attrition (pun intended) I love spiders.
