Description
In the last week, several people I know lost dear souls in their lives, or told me they feared they might...Tonight a dear friend lost someone dear (my deepest sympathies to her), and a few weeks back I lost someone precious as well. I want to take a moment to give comforts to all those who've lost someone dear, and to find the light of their loved one in the midst of darkness. The drawing is simply what I felt as I looked back, a soft presence a-lit in the mists...may it be a small token for all...
To the light in you all,
much peace,
Mark

It's like something both thin and solid, hanging on the wind. It is very much like the sense I have of a friend who died this summer.

I couldnt say it better than neoexcello did here. You did it so beautifully Mark. Thank you. I like the "aura" you created between the frame and the "soul"

Mark this is lovely, I love the way the painting almost sparkles, it reminds me of the 'sparkle' of memories that will come to you in waves after someone you love has left, when you can be doing something so ordinary and a memory will flash to you , I believe that is how you keep those loved ones with you forever. Nice work and touching dedication in this one.

Mark I must agree with everyone here that this is such a special dedication to those we have lost recently in our lives. For me it is like a reaching out to embrace those they have left behind and let them know things will be alright.

Wonderful thoughts expressed. I love the sense of movement in this, not just a one way movement, rather one without limits. Part of your design reminds me of a butterfly, a symbol of transformation, as well as a reminder of the freedom to enjoy such great beauty as they freely move from one place to another, rather like the spirits of our loved ones.

very fine image to express memories and compassion at the same time. (the only thing i am not so sure about is the frame)

Wonderful image Mark, and for me it comes just as the right time, since I lost one of my friends and got to know it this morning.
