Will get a photo of myself as soon as i find one I like.
Hi I'm Nick
I came from a science background and now work in the software industry (as so many do).
I became interested in photography via a friend (Fred255) and from buying a dslr for doing astronomy stuff (another interest). I soon discovered the joy of using the camera for its intended purpose. I then started to leak cash.
Still very much a beginner, but learning with every shot (especially the failed ones :-)).
Equipment list:
Canon EOS 5D MKII (my pride and joy)
Panasonic LX3
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0L ISÂ USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4
Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L ISÂ USM (my other pride and joy)
Sigma 2x EX DG Teleconverter
Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG Macro
Kenko extension tube set (12, 20 & 36mm)
Manfrotto 055XB Classic with 484RC2.

It is a sort of "Marmite" image but it is growing on me.

You're right it is Marmite. I wasn't sure myself, but now I quite like it.

Awesome shot - I like the outline of the trees against the sky

Fantastic shot and treatment; there's something appealingly cinematic about this, and as I look at it, I can imagine this image within a visual story, accompanied by the haunting music of Bear McCreary and/or Lisa Gerrard...which basically means that I like this picture quite a lot!

Very nice.
