here is a great egret at Lake Martin. the bird did not care i was close like 30 feet from him ; all he wish was food. I was in my truck at the time. for all bird lovers. may not be top type photo as some here but i try my best with what i have Going to see if i can be here or not. May go to a race track for horses and go into the back area where the jockeys are and the horses is at. I know a owner who say he bring me. I have to see ok. It be tomorrow I see

For sure this is not a true portrait of this egret, but I like it and I consider as well composed for these reasons: it explains very well the environment in which the egret lives, and in the meantime it's well composed. And more the opened wings add action and movement. This is a good example that if you have not a focal length sufficient for a closer picture, you can nevertheless make beautiful envirnonmental scenes as this one! 5 stars!!!
