Description
I'm standing in Laughlin, Nevada; Across the bridge is Arizona, and that is the Colorado River... it was only about 112 F, and it was about 6 p.m. Yikes! It was like a pizza oven ;)

I had an uncle who moved to Laughlin to live the life of a gambler... I always wondered why... its so hot there! I love the split view of landscape you captured...the dry, brittle hills beyond the river are really love and quite the contrast to the green on your side.

Been there many, many times....my parents used to live a bit south of there and we spent a lot of long, hot, smoky days in the casinos when I visited. It does seem odd that it's the "mighty" Colorado River in that spot, doesn't it? Great shot
