Description

For those of you who were wondering what your were looking at in Curses! foiled again! here is the original photo. This tree is in our back yard and I can attest to the beauty of the blossoms. However, the neatest thing about this tree is the purfume that the flowers give off. I could sit near this tree all day and night just smelling the blossoms. These blooms are in the first stage. later on the blooms and centers change colour. This tree is also known as the Red-White & Blue tree for its blossoms. Technical information is below. Harlequin Glorybowers or Red White & BLue tree(not their real name) Latin name is Claradendron Tricotymum. If that sounds familiar, it's because this plant is a relative of the popular Claradendron houseplant. AND for those who were curious as to what I did to the picture to achieve the effect, Corel has a filter/effect called foil and I just applied it to the photo and that was the result. I'm glad everyone like the foiled picture and I hope you like this one as well thanks Only post work done on this one is re-size to meet limits (original was 1.68 megs) and a little enhancement to lighting and colours.

Good use of a filter often results in not realizing a filter was used, which is the case for me as I would have thought this natural. Great photo with touchup!

What pretty flowers!!! I wonder if we have this tree in South Africa. We have a shrub here called 'Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,' that has the most divine smell, I always think that this is what heaven will smell like!:-)

Absolutely gorgeous shot! Love the colours on those leaves! The flowers remind me almost of Dogwood or Jasmine. I'll just bet the aroma is heavenly!
