I really like the figure and the color scheme. The fly, because of it's location, contrast with it's immediate surroundings, and realism (especially compared to the rest of the picture) dominates the image. Also with a fly of that size compared to the main character,, I find it quite menacing. I would have preferred the picture without the fly, but of course that depends on what you wanted to say or do with the picture. It certainly makes the picture destinctive.
