Description

And that is hay! Other than cows, the only other animals apparent were chickens and roosters. Captured 9/3/08, very early in the morning, at a dairy about 1.85 miles/2.98 kilometers from my happenstance haven. The dairy features a small store in front that sells milk, butter, eggs, and a vast assortment of convenience store goodies. Sneak factor at that time of the AM is very low. Thankx for the visit this first day of fall in the northern hemisphere, and all the best for the new week.

I used to drive my new car out into dairy country in Southern California and the rains turned the roads into a foot of pee. In about eight months my old college roomate whose father was a dairy farmer came to stay. We never discussed cows. That was something to moo about over the fence on the old Butterfield Stage line. It's a friendly space when the cows moo back.
