Deeper than Blood : For Dee - WhispersSoft Written by Matt Ryan Carroll For Dee Simpson For so long you've been there, my sister and seen me grow from a child to a man. You took me and called me your brother, And YOU made me the man that I am. You found me at my worst, when I was bitter, broken and hateful, Filled with nothing but sadness, and anger, and strife. But still you offered me your friendship, for which I will always be grateful. There's no way of telling you how much you've changed my life. I know deep in my heart you will always be there for me. As will I for you, anytime, no matter what, Dee. Whenever you're down, just pick up the phone, And know you never have to go through anything alone. My spirit and my heart are always with you, every day. You've been my rock for years, whether things were going wrong or right. And with every new sunset, when I kneel and pray, I thank God for you, every night. Your love is my most cherished gift in my life, If I lost everything else, I wouldn't care. Now after so many years, you'll soon be a wife. And given me another gift by asking I be there. We have a bond you and me, that's only strengthened with the years. By more than just laughter or friendship, or sorrow and tears. What you and I share is the deepest of love. Thicker than family. - Deeper than blood. When you're there, it feels like nothing can ever hurt me. And I'd die for you if I had to, Dee. Your love gives me the greatest feeling of deep peace, in my very soul. It's as if I'd been broken my entire life, waiting till you made me whole. And now the end of this poem has reached it's start, So I'll end it with the words that will always be true. I love you with all of my heart, dearest sister, And I'll always be there for you. She was the first person here I ever got to call my friend, and someone I feel lucky and proud to call my sister. She and I have been through a lot together the last four years, both happy and sad, and now things have started to change drastically for the better in both our lives at the same time! Dee, you know I'll always be there for you, and that I love you. I can't wait till the day comes when we finally get to see each other.
