Description

The Slender Bee Fly, Bombylius Toxophorinae Geron, I think. About 1/2 inch long and determined to show me his hind end instead of his face. Finally I caught him before he turned around again. Thank you very kindly for your views and comments.

This is absolutely awesome. Perfect pedestal and a great bg. Looks similar to a Long Legged fly as well. And those too like to turn their back to you. This is a handsome chap. Never seen one of these. Thanks for sharing a great shot of one. Have a good weekend!

this link has nothing to do with your fly but what an amazing colored fly. http://bugguide.net/node/view/197640 exceptional clarity and focus.I seen the largest Blue Heron ever since, and it landed near me.I botched up the captures because I quickly changed lens without remembering to change the settings from a previous shoot
