Description

Hello everyone, Here you find a look at where I was today. Fryeburg, Maine at the fairgrounds. Each year for several now I have been marking and painting the axe throw target for the Woodsman's day event. I help to set up the poplar poles used in the chopping events as well. Here is a look at some of them set up along the horse race track at the infield fence. A rainy but good day. -GB-

I've often watched these types of events on TV and wished I could see them performed for myself. The sawing contests and the log rolling... its all so much fun, just like this shot is fun - fun to see the behind the scenes action.

Very interesting and cool shot George! I have seen these events in Washington and California (and my step dad was a lumberjack) Not as easy as it seems...
