I am Native American (Blackfeet, Cree, Choctaw and Cherokee). I've been an amateur photographer since I was 10 when my dad bought me my first camera, a German Zeiss Ikon 35mm. I take pictures of pretty much anything and everything that catches my eye. I don't use any high end photo editing software. I use Picasa and occasionally web based photo editing sites. I do the best I can with what I have. I usually just let my photos speak for themselves. I ride motorcycles with my soulmate of over 40 years and take pictures "on the fly" from the passenger seat. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of Renderosity.

Nice shot! It's interesting that there is a bumper crop. I thought the weather was on the cold side this year.

For amota99517.......Don't know why you thought it was on the cold side.....Alabama was in the 90s-100s for most of the summer.....we thought it might be down because of the drought we're in.

When my kids were small, in the primary grades, I grew a half dozen cotton plants every year. It was one of the most educational things I ever did. They learned to grow it, pick it, clean it, and use each part of it. They took seeds to school to share with other kids and the teachers even grabbed some. Its a really lovely plant with fantastic flowers on top of everything else. Your capture is truly a magnificent one. Good crisp, clear and well focused.
